2023 Scholarship for undergraduate, master's, doctor's and master's degree in Chinese universities

1、 Scholarship category

（1） Undergraduate Scholarship

Application conditions:

1. Have applied for undergraduate programs;

2. At least 18 years old and no more than 25 years old (calculated on May 31, 2023);

3. Have not obtained other scholarships in China at the same time.

Open majors: international business, mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, software engineering, civil engineering, tourism management, biotechnology, microelectronics science and engineering, Chinese international education

Subsidy standard: free of tuition, accommodation, and other expenses.

Supporting period: the maximum number of years shall not exceed the prescribed length of schooling. It is required to accept the annual review organized by the school every year. Those who pass the annual review will receive the funding for the next year according to the standards. Scholarships for those who fail the annual review will be partially cancelled or suspended.

Note: You can apply for the scholarship at the same time when applying for undergraduate admission qualification. If you are not admitted as an undergraduate, the scholarship application will automatically end.

（2） Master Scholarship

Application conditions:

1. Has applied for master's degree program;

2. At least 18 years old and no more than 35 years old (calculated on April 31, 2023);

3. Have not obtained other scholarships in China at the same time.

Open majors: all postgraduate majors that recruit international students

Subsidy standard: free of tuition and accommodation, and living allowance of 1500 yuan per month (10 months per year)

Supporting period: the maximum number of years shall not exceed the prescribed length of schooling. It is required to accept the annual review organized by the school every year. Those who pass the annual review will receive the funding for the next year according to the standards. Scholarships for those who fail the annual review will be suspended.

Note: You can apply for the scholarship at the same time when applying for the admission qualification of master's degree. If you are not admitted as a master's degree, the scholarship application will automatically end.

（3） Doctoral Scholarship

Application conditions:

1. Have applied for the doctoral program;

2. At least 18 years old and no more than 45 years old (calculated on May 31, 2023);

3. Have not obtained other scholarships in China at the same time.

Open majors: all doctoral majors that recruit international students

Subsidy standard: free of tuition and accommodation fees, and living allowance of 2500 yuan per month (10 months per year)

Supporting period: the maximum number of years shall not exceed the length of schooling plus one year. It is required to accept the annual review organized by the school every year. Those who pass the annual review will receive the funding for the next year according to the standards. Scholarships for those who fail the annual review will be suspended.

Note: You can apply for the scholarship at the same time when applying for the admission qualification of the doctoral candidate. If you are not admitted as a doctoral candidate, the scholarship application will automatically end.

（4） Postgraduate Foundation Scholarship

Application conditions:

1. Has been pre-admitted as a master's or doctoral candidate taught in Chinese (note: application should be made after receiving the official pre-admission notice, otherwise it will not be accepted);

2. Fail to reach the Chinese level required for professional learning;

3. Have not obtained other scholarships in China at the same time.

Subsidy standard: postgraduate students are free of tuition and accommodation, and are provided with a monthly living allowance of 1500 yuan (10 months per year); Doctoral graduate students are free of tuition and accommodation, and are provided with a monthly living allowance of 2500 yuan (10 months per year)

Funding period: 1 year

Others: After the completion of the one-year Chinese supplementary study, those who should obtain the report of Grade 4 or above of the HSK can directly enter the professional study and enjoy the master's and doctoral scholarship for international students; Those who fail to obtain the result report will be delayed to enter the professional study until they have obtained the result report of the Chinese proficiency test (HSK) level 4 or above, and all expenses during the extended study period will be borne by themselves.

3、 Annual review

The school conducts an annual review of the scholarship students in May every year and announces the results of the annual review in June. Those who fail the annual examination will be suspended or disqualified from the scholarship. The contents of the annual review include learning achievements, learning attitudes, attendance, behavior, rewards and punishments, etc.

（1） The annual review of undergraduate students focuses on attendance rate and academic performance, and is comprehensively reviewed in combination with the evaluation and rewards and punishments of the college:

The attendance rate is more than 95%, and the average score of professional learning is more than 70 points. Through the comprehensive evaluation of the college, you can get the full reduction of tuition and accommodation fees for the next academic year; The attendance rate is more than 95%, and the average score of professional learning is more than 60 points. Through the comprehensive evaluation of the college, the tuition fee for the next academic year will be reduced; Scholarship qualification will be suspended if the attendance rate is less than 95% or the average score of professional learning is less than 60 points.

（2） The annual review of graduate students focuses on academic performance and tutor evaluation, and is comprehensively reviewed in combination with scientific research achievements and rewards and punishments. Those who fail to pass the annual examination will be disqualified from the scholarship.

（3） Those who have been suspended from the scholarship will no longer enjoy the scholarship subsidy, but can apply to stay in school at their own expense and participate in the next round of annual review. If the annual examination is qualified, the corresponding scholarship qualification can be restored from the next academic year.

（4） The university reserves the right to conduct internal evaluation on all scholarship students before the end of the first semester. Those who are considered unqualified in the evaluation will be immediately suspended from the scholarship qualification.

（5） In any of the following circumstances, the scholarship qualification shall be cancelled and shall not be restored: in case of violating Chinese laws and regulations, participating in illegal social organizations and activities, being punished by school discipline, or committing other violations of laws and disciplines, the scholarship qualification shall be immediately cancelled; Those who fail to participate in the annual examination without justified reasons or fail to pass the annual examination twice in total will be disqualified from the next academic year.

5、 Waiver and retention of scholarships

（1） Scholars who fail to register on time due to personal reasons can apply for an extension of enrollment, which shall not exceed one month; Those who fail to register on time shall be deemed to have given up the scholarship qualification.

（2） Scholars who need to leave school due to illness should return to China for recuperation. The scholarship qualification can be retained for one year, and the return travel expenses shall be borne by themselves. The living allowance will be suspended during the retention of scholarship qualification. Scholars who suspend their studies for other reasons will not retain their scholarship qualifications.
