Chinese and international students gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival

At 3:00 PM on September 18th, teachers of School of International Education and Cooperation(SIEC)、13 international students and Chinese students gathered together to celebrate the Chinese traditional festival - Mid-Autumn Festival.

At the beginning of the activity, Miss Jiang introduced the Mid-Autumn Festival to everyone, showed the customs and habits of the Mid-Autumn Festival with PPT, and narrated the origin of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the fairy tale of Chang 'e flying to the moon with video.

Then, the first game part is guessing lantern riddles, international students draw questions from the lanterns-which riddles from the video played before. The students actively participated in the activity and gave their answers based on their own understanding of Mid-Autumn Festival, to win the - exquisite gifts.

One of the most impressive traditions of Mid-Autumn Festival must be eating moon cakes! So the second part is to guess the taste of the moon cake. A lot of different flavors of mooncakes was prepared, lotus seed paste, ham, black truffle, cheese flow... After tasting, students were asked to give their answers. The mooncakes with red bean paste and cheese flavor were the most popular.

After the activity, everyone took pictures with lanterns. This activity enables international students to have a deep understanding of the Chinese traditional festival - Mid-Autumn Festival, and also let them feel the warmth of the festival customs of foreign countries.
